Smoody, I'm currently having a Woods brand LS72 loader installed on my 1610D here in PA for $2800 total. If $2700 is your budget I might suggest you check on a Woods for your machine. I'm no FEL expert, so I don't know the exact price of one for your model, but they seem to be good units at a great price.

Another data point. My Koyker 125 was $3000 installed when I bought my tractor.

There were a couple of brackets that the dealer sourced separately from the loader when I bought mine. He seems to keep a couple of loaders in stock, and then buys the brackets when a customer buys a loader and he knows what tractor it will be mounted on. I don't know if the brackets came from Koyker or not? They may have been 3rd party. . . .

I bought from Halopka Equipment. I would say that they're more of an importer than a dealership. It's just a guy and his wife, and they were very hard to find. OTOH, he seemed to be very competant and honest. He also is very accessable as his phone was always ringing!

This is Todd & Melissa Halopka from Halopka Equipment in Dorchester, WI. One of our customers told us about this site so we were checking it out and we see that another one of our nice customers had replied to you with some information when he bought his Yanmar and loader from us - his name is Jim and he lives outside of Madison, WI. (Thank you Jim!) If you would like to contact us by phone, our # is 1-715-654-5860. Anyway, we can get a new Koyker loader, our cost on it, (everything included like all hydraulic loader with neccessary brackets, joystick control, valves etc) for you for about $2600 sitting at the Koyker manufacturing plant in souix falls, SD - it usually costs us about $150-$200 to get it shipped to us from there to here in Wisconsin. We then usually charge $200.00 to install. We did ask our Koyker representative how much he thought it would cost to ship to south Carolina and he thinks around $300. this is only an estimate, but if you are interested in trying to make this work - feel free to give us a call.

Smoody did you ever get your Koyker loader and if yes, are you happy with the performance...I'm comparing loaders and curious whether Koyer loaders have it over others...the specs on a Koyker seem better than others, and past post indicate Koyker's are bullet proof. My local Kubota dealer suggests a Buhler/Allied/Farm-King loader, quoted me about $4,500 CN all in and installed on a B7100....that's nearly $1,500 more than yours & I think your getting the better loader...I'm likely better off to order direct from the Koyker folks in Sioux Falls & ship to a US postal address and drive down from Can. & pick it up, pay the taxes at the border and still be well under $4,500 & install it myself. Any one else have luck buying cheaper from Koyker direct in SD?

I bought my YMG1800D from Halopka and had them put on a Koyker Loader, it works fine and will lift the rear tires off the ground with a backblade on at a litle over a idle, I still need to add rear weights or fill the tires.

I bought my YM2020 from Halopka Equipment in Dorchester, WI and have to say they are straight up people. They shipped me the tractor and the whole transaction went so smooth... I would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone.

We manufacture, and sell loader kits for the Yanmar tractors. Our kit for the YM2210 is $1800, plus shipping to the nearest LTL terminal. We cover some of the shipping, but the rates we seem to be getting from Fedex are in the $300-350 range if you pick it up at one of their terminals.

Our kit uses all standardized hydraulics, cylinders, valve, and fittings.

I'm not on TBN too often, but you can call me if you had any questions.

This Place is local to me and I have made a couple of visits over there. The Loaders look to be well made, and I will be having one installed as soon as the bucks come in. They are an importer of grey market tractors by the container, they make the repairs and ship them out. But they also have a fab shop and build the FEL's as well. The FEL's look well made and they seem to understand the used rice tractors quite well, as it seems to be the main part of the biz.

I would wonder about the single curl cylinder allowing considerable bucket twist while putting heavy load on one end of bucket. May work great but I don't believe it is the industry standard. Pricing is sure in line.

A "heavy load" on one end of the bucket is just unsafe whether you have one bucket cylinder, or two.

Industry standard? Kubota makes a 3 cylinder loader for it's compact tractors. Here is an image I borrowed from another TBN thread. This is a Kubota BX25 in the photo. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe it's a 25hp tractor. The YM2210 is also in the 25-26hp range.

A 3 cylinder design is not just found on compact tractor loaders. Take a look at wheel loaders, and you'll see many also use a 3 cylinder system for their loaders. A CAT 910 is a good example.

I can see a slight weight advantage of a 1 cyl curl loader, a second cyl, would add yet another few pounds to the front of the tractor, and need more ballast weight on the rear end.

Did Smooty ever find a FEL for his price range? I have a Yanmar 2310 2WD and also interested in a FEL also and curious to my similar options.

So far I has read in this thread that these brands exist for a tractor our size:
- Woods LS72 loader
- Koyker 125
- Buhler/Allied/Farm-King loader

Is there a best bang for your buck out there? Other options? I am a weekend warrior when it comes to maintaining the property and I just want quality I can depend on.

Pretty sure these Nortracs are rebranded Koykers. (click on the second pic and you will see the Koyker label) If it doesn't work out to get one direct from Koyker, Northern usually offers free shipping to the nearest store.
