Newb to Forum from Michigan

Howdy to all from southeastern-ish lower Michigan. Just found this site. I'm not much of a farmer anymore, I grew up on one many years ago. It was just big enough for our family to grow livestock and to have a large garden. I had a 9N Ford for many years but sold it recently due to not using it. I'd rather have someone own it that would use it rather than just let it sit and fall into disrepair.

I recently posted an inquiry asking how to get rid of poison ivy that has infested over an acre of my land. So far no responses. Where would be a good place to post such a question? I put my first inquire into "rural living".

Have you considered some roundup for the Poison Ivy?

Hi and thanks for the welcome.

I've read about Roundup and other products to get rid of poison ivy. Since we live on a well I'm reluctant to use chems, I don't want it getting into the water supply. But I might consider trying it next spring, as this stuff is just running rampant over my back lot, rendering it nearly unusable. Its vines are crawling up every tree and shrub out there!

I also heard that Ortho Max might also be good for such a thick growth of this stuff. If any non-chemical solution is found I will try the Ortho or Pro strength Roundup.
