I found out last winter that a FEL is not ideally suited for snow removal. Because of several changes in angle and slope on my driveway, I gouged a few spots, and had considerable wear on the front edge of the bucket. Additionally, not being able to push the snow in any direction except forward was really time consuming.

This summer, I decided to attach a snow blade to the FEL in the hopes that it would produce more desireable results. Now I am able to scrape with the bucket raised a few inches above the surface, and I can also angle the blade resulting in a much neater and faster job.

Here are some pics of my new set-up in action.

Neat except for the ROPS. You knew someone would say it so I guess I'm first.:):)

Excellent job, that is really impressive No chains? Looks as though you have quite a long and steep driveway. How fast can you detach the blade to use the bucket if need? Sorry to be a pain I'm just contemplating something similar for my tractor and was curious how it actually connects to the bucket? Thanks again and take care

PS I knew someone would say something about the rops :)

KKPop ... Looks great

I cannot speak for the BX25, but I know the top of my BX24 Rops hits the top of a standard garage door opening. After hitting my trim a half dozen times (and coming to a very sudden stop), I created an OSHA sin and took off the top folding arm. I plan to fabricate a lower version (yes I know all the issues that go with that) that will fit through a normal garage door. I put it back on when I get into incline work, but for plowing, moving and moving gravel etc, it sits in the garage

I have to deal with this all the time at my job, our safety folks have lost the ability to team with the people who do the work to find a solution that is both safe and effective to use

Looks like the blade does a great job. I'm sure you're glad you made the change from last year's FEL only snow removal.

ROPS down, seat belt off. Nothing steep enough on the driveway to require the added protection.

No chains, the industrial tires and 4x4 do an excellent job, even on the hills.

I can attach or remove the blade in less than a minute, I've attached pics of the mount. The pieces I welded on are approx. 1"x2"x1/4" spacers that were salvaged from a universal hitch installation kit, I didn't even have to drill the holes for the pin. My welds don't look that great, but they seem to hold. :D

Very nice setup; wish we got more snow here.
