- 2001 John Deere 790 4x4, bar tires
I was given a free John Deere Van Brunt grain drill by a neighbor. The property it came from used to be working farm about 2 generations ago, but now no one works it other than another person who cuts hay off of their fields. The husband of the lady who will eventually inherit the property was cleaning out/repairing a barn and asked if I wanted the drill. It was in need of some repair but I wound up selling it for $250.
My best deal buying was a rusty A & B Eagleline pond scoop for $90. I cleaned it up and repainted it to look like new. Wound up trading it even for a Leinbach cultivator. I talked with A&B and they said that pond scoop retails for about $550 new.
