this incident happened on my boat while I was working the deck. It is an amazing story well worth the read.

BTW- I was the #1 nozzleman on the aft firehose waiting for this guy to try and land !!

When were you on the Lincoln? I was on board from 1988-1992.
Also have a very good freind that was an ABE3 on the Connie from 1987-1991

I'm back in the Philippines now, went and toured the old NAS Cubi Point NAS a few days ago including the previous NAVMAG area. Subic is still strong, saw the old Alafa and Bravo piers. Even went to the Top four club where I made Chief back in 1987, dang windows are all knocked out and the club is falling down. Still love the Philippines, especally during Christmas and New Year, BIL is going to Manila tomorrow and will come back with enough fireworks to blow up a house. There is a new Pure warehouse at Subic modeled after Costco, It's huge and like leaving the country when you walk in, anything you want to buy exports.

Is a San Miguel still a nickel?

Peso rate sucks now, maybe 44 peso's to a dollar. San Maguel is about 50 cents and Red Horse 10 cents more. A large bottle of Tanduay dark rum is 65 peso's. Can still drink rum and pop cola for about $1.50 all night long. What breaks the bank is those dang round trip airline tickets back and forth from the east coast.
