Greetings again to all.Haven't been behind keyboard in a while.Here's my 2011 F250 6.7,3.55 g/ratio_Only 2000 plus miles so far,haven't towed anything yet,but showing 18.9 average on the ly-o-meter.Just basic LT package,really like truck so far.Btw;on road diesel fuel averaging bout $3.23 gal round here(SW Fla.)

Forgot i started this thread and never posted a pic when my truck came in. 2011 F250 Lariat 4x4. Love it so far. Have 1700 miles on it. Came in Nov. 24th.

Great looking truck Bri. While the large chrome grill has grown on me and I do like it now, I think it looks the best on the light trucks like yours. Sharp truck.

Thanks, i was torn between all black, or the white with Gray on the bottom. Went with white and gray for that reason, the chrome really popped out on the black and that was just a little too much bling for me. i want my truck to still have a little "sport" look to it. and not so much of the rich, high end look.
A friend of mine just bought the adobe w/silver on the bottom. That is a nice looking truck but i didn't like the tan interior.

I've never seen a circular recessed area in the bed for the gooseneck hitch. It looks sort of like a B&W. Was that a factory hitch?

Yes it is a B&W, When i ordered my truck you couldn't get the factory Goose prep on a short bed truck. From what i under stand you can now. After talking to a bunch of people i went with the B&W. I like the way it sits flush. I also looked at getting the Curt but so many people said B&W was the way to go so followed their lead.

As a side note the B&W goose has a 5th wheel attachment that can be added and you don't have to drill any other holes in the bed. You just remove the ball and drop in the 5th wheel attachment. that was the other selling point for me as when the wife and i retire (hope to be in the next year or two) we will buy a camper and travel for the first couple of months.

I have installed 4 or 5 of these B&W hitches and 2 of them have the 5th wheel Companion. Its a nice feature but is heavy. It take 2 grown men to install it. I would guess its 200# plus. Lifting it up to a 3/4 ton truck is a chore. Both my customers I have now set up with a chain hoist via the truss system of their garages. Loosen it up, lift it up, drive truck out, lower it onto a furniture dolly, move into the corner. When its time it install just do the opposite.

I have an old 5th hitch that is too heavy for me alone, so I welded up a table on wheels to store it on. The space underneath has another shelf and isn't wasted. Push the table to the tail gate and slide the hitch into place.

Thats a great idea but if you have not been around the B&W it has a square tube that sticks out the bottom about 10" and its also about two times as heavy as a Putnam or Reece 5th wheel hitch. These things are the best of the best and heavy built. It would tear up a truck to slide it on the tailgate from a table and would be nearly impossible with the tube that sticks out.

Great idea though for a regular rail mount 5th wheel hitch.
