BX25 home made tailer hitch

Not to rain on the parade here....but, the hitch looks like it will bend if not always on a straight line pull. The bend point will be where the (2) plates go over the hitch plate. Don't know about anyone else out there, but I NEVER have a straight line pull with anything I ever do.

On my machine (BX24) I put just a plain old 2" ball on that hitch plate, and the back-hoe fits without a problem. On the rare occasion I need to pull something from the back of the tractor all I do is get a chain or wire rope and sling it around the ball and out to whatever I'm tugging on.

Again, not to throw stones, just looking at the realities of how the design might fail.

Yes the backhoe fits on with this hitch installed.

Thanks Jeff... I normally like to fabricate things in the shop... yours looks so good I'm going to give one to myself...

I used the same location to make a hitch with a grab hook[hook on the bottom.] Great for pulling something by a chain with the hoe on.I dragged a car hood around behind the hoe and loaded large boulders on it with my hoe ,and dragged them to the stone wall-worked SWEET you could do the same.
The original reason for building was for a location to chain the tractor dwn to the trailer.
Nice job on yours liiks pro

Two 1/4" plates butted up against a 1/2" plate and secured with a 3/4" Stainless steel bolt, welded solid to a 3/4" hitch ! - Nah, it won't bend....the tractor will spin the wheels before that ever happens.
