New B3030HSDC

My hearing has suffered from hearing what's going on around me and a lot of the people running open station tractors have to use ear muffs, my brothers included.

I can understand why people like open station as I ran them for years and still have some, but will never by another. I guess that happens as you get older for some of us.

I don't feel that the cab blocks the sounds enough that you wouldn't hear if something is going wrong.
I sure enjoy clearing snow a lot more now. I bought the cab really only thinking about keeping warm in the winter but turns out I like it a lot in the summer too when it gets smoking hot and I have some job to do like spreading a load of crushed rock. The cab is great, you'll enjoy it a lot.

A few years ago, I was running an open station and heard a horrible noise which sounded like an intermittent bearing problem. I cut the RPM and if anything, it got worse. I shut it down immediately at which time I could hear my new cell phone.

Now I can hear my cell phone and talk on it, but I am not sure if that's good or bad.

If it's not too personal, what did you get with the B3030HSDC (loader, backhoe, snowblade, etc.) and what did you pay for the whole package?
Thanks

I got the tractor with:
loader
dual rear remotes
rears loaded with rimguard
rear wheel spacers for chain clearance
turf tires.

Traded in a B7800 with loader, mid mount mower and a 20 year old, beat
to pieces Woods 750 backhoe.

List on the new tractor with goodies was $27160, plus over $900 in
CT sales tax. Trade-in was $12000.

I probably could have saved some money by shopping around, but my dealer
is local (20 mins), has a great service dept., and a great parts dept. So
I did my part to boost the local economy.:D

No, the radio would be a distraction for me.
However, if in the future, I need a radio, I'll
jury rig something.

Save your time & money. You won't be able to hear it that well if running an implement at rated speed due to engine noise and hydro whine. It really has to be cranked up.
It was a fun project for me to do, but I really don't get to enjoy the radio much if really using the tractor for something.
