Got a little seat time today with my BX. Made an easy job out of the 24" we got.

The wind died down enough that I went out and cleared a portion of the 7 inches on the ground tonight.....with the snow still coming down.....

You are dedicated. I am going to go out early tomorrow morning, try to get it in one shot. Still snowing and blowing here too. Another 1-2 inches expected. I think we have at least as much as we had the Monday after Christmas. Always hard to tell in the dark and with the drifting.

By the way, I did finally notice my Frontier blower does have a weep hole at the bottom of the impeller housing. My blower leans back a little when it's down on the floor and the weep hole is to the front. That's why I had a puddle there.
Dave.

I just went out and we have another 2 inches and still coming down. So, that makes 9 inches total here in central Maine.

CTF...Thanks. I like the picture too but, pictures don't reflect accumulation very well.

Dave...Glad to hear you found the hole. And now this...We had talked about snow coming up through the punched holes in the blower......actually, it isn't. The build up of snow that I am getting at the base of the chute is coming from the hinge of the deflector. I tend to run the deflector with the rod fully extended which shoots the snow sideways. The snow is "backing out" right at the hinge. I figured that out in a picture.

Tonight I just did a parking area and a straight shot out the drive for in the morning. Tomorrow I'll clean up real good AND I'll do my neighbors driveway for $35.

So, there is seat time on the horizon. And, some pocket change towards a $77 lift ticket at Sugarloaf for Saturday, provided the darn thing doesn't fall to the ground.!!:confused2:

My buddy said today we may have another storm coming early next week. Hope so.

My MF1532 with a New Holland 7 ft snow plow installed, works great. I also added ice cleats chains on the front tires and a 5 ft box scraper for cleaning up. Air pressure dropped 30/20 psi.
How does the 7 ft snow blade work out? Looks like a nice set up.

 on the pic JDG. Unfortunately my wife doesn't know how to operate the digital camera so I'm not able to post a similar Frontier SB1164 action pic from yesterday's 5". Have you figured out an easy way to clean the packed snow out of the blower after use? I've been using a broom (both ends) which isn't very effective.

As you can imagine, not a big need for snow plows in Georgia. With the recent snow this week (we got a little over 6"). I had to find a way out of my hilly driveway. I had to work with what I had on hand so grabbed a piece of OSB that I had in the basement. I cut a couple of slits toward the bottom so that my ratchet straps wouldn't rub on the asphalt and went to work. I think I'll get some "real" plywood and screw a couple of 1x4's on the edge and make something more permanent.

It worked much better than I thought it would. This is the first time I have ever snowplowed and I did my 750 ft driveway in about 30 - 45 minutes. It's not perfect, but now I can get my truck out and get to the store to get more bread and milk.
