Companion planting is something you might want to study up on. Some plants(like onions and beans...........hate each other). if planted close together, yields from each will be very small...........if they bear fruit at all.

Strawberries and potatoes..........no good.

My main 2 crops will be corn and potatoes. The corn will be "G-90" (or something like that) and the potatoes will be Irish (if this makes sense).

I do plan on planting some Squash, cucumbers (which I dearly love), eggplants, carrots, and maybe some tomatoes and purple hull peas, but that's about it. Oh! and I'd like to try my luck with watermelon too...

For corn, I like Bodacious, and Incredible...............for potatoes..........RED...........always red for best flavor red, red, red.

maybe it is the red I'm planting?? I don't remember what my grandfather said. Imma talk to him some more about it... I guess stuff grows better in different areas/parts of the country..

Get to studying fast, because I think peas go in the ground in your area, about the end of Febuary(cool weather crop), tomatoes about end of March/mid April, corn about the same time........watermelon and squash a week or 2 later.

Yelp. I think the correct time to plant here, is on or around Valentine's Day.
