Windshield cover is a must for trailering

Wow it looks like you have quite a load in the back of that thing! When I brought mine home I had heard about the windshield issue when trailering so I just backed it onto the trailer. I have a rear screen to protect the rear window. What size winch do you have on yours and is it strong enough?

total machine wieght is 3900 lbs, winch is 2000 lb warn and use a snatch block to double the winch power. Can not load it onto trailer unless it in low range. A true test for the machine. I know a guy who carrys more wieght than we do with his.

How in the heck did you gt those tires under that thing!!? Do they rub when you turn? It looks awsome.

Thanks and yes the tire do rub on extreme truns>75% left or right. You will will have to take off (tear off)the front mud flap mounts or your tires will get cut. I took an Air chisel to the spot welds on the flap brackets and siloconed the small holes left in the floor pan. As shown in the photo, that about as far as you can turn the tires befor you hear the lugs rubbing on the inner front fenders, Not a big deal IMO but the tire size destroys the overall performance of the HSTAT tranny.

Adding the turbo sure helped overall performance. I didn't pick up any additional speed, but I can now turn my 26" tires no problem in low range locked in 4X4.

Where did you get your turbo setup and what did it cost? Easy to install?

I'd have to look it up where I bought the kit. I think I posted where on here somewhere. It honestly was far, far easier to install than I thought. The oil return lines and several other bracket mounting points were already made into the block. I couldn't say with any authority, because I don't know for a fact, but it sure seems like that little engine was built to have an optional turbo from the factory.

As I said earlier, if you want faster, it doesn't do that. Well, maybe 1 or 2 mph, but not much. However, it will get there much faster and hold the speed far better on the road when going up hills. In 2 wd and in "L" on the gear selector, mine will spin both rear tires for about 4 or 5 feet taking off on concrete. Clearly, before doing something like that before was not even remotely an option; maybe on ice. ;)

Thanks for the post, That turbo kit sounds like the missing link on these units, all in what do you think it cost for parts?
