My 1140 doesn't idle high at all. Had it a month or so.

Does your 1100 idle kinda high? Mine just seems like it's very high.
It may be a Tier 3 engine, I think one of the changes was idle speed to meet the new tier. Or you may just have the throttle lock pulled out.
I run mine on high idle anyway to boost the pump pressure and takeoff power.

Has anyone bought and installed the coast valve in the 1100? If so where did you buy it and how hard is it to install?

I bought a coast valve for $139 on eBay. It takes about ten minutes to Install.
I decided to go back to the original valve after about 3 hours using it. My wife felt more comfortable driving the unit as it came from the factory, and since the 1100 is primarily her machine, there was no argument from me. I have the 1140 for me to play with. If you're interested in the coast valve, maybe I can save you some good money!

Why didn't you install it in your 1140? What would you want for it? You can e-mail me at angussprings@zoominternet.net. I found the ones on ebay for $139 and another for $89. They look the same but ones is a copy of the other.

Did you install the beacon yourself and are there wires already up there to connect it?

I did install it myself. Not sure if there are wires up there. I pulled a new one when I pulled the speaker wires. Made the bracket with a little curve so that it would stay below the roof line so that when running through the woods it wouldn't get torn off by branches. The speakers are outdoor Bose that sound great and don't get in the way of the dump bed.
