This is the new owner's spinoff from my previous post on comparing the YM1700 and the YM2000
When I was checking my very cool tractor-to-be out the owner said sometimes it diesels when shutting it down.
California wrote back then "YM2000 is stopped by pulling the throttle to zero which shuts off all the fuel."
So I have my terrific tractor home and it starts like a champ -- but when I go to shut it off, it doesn't. Shut off, that is.
My book is actually for the YM240 series so the throttle is the opposite, but I follow the shut down procedure and when I push the throttle forward ("slow"), the engine slows down ... ... .. .. . . . . . .
But it doesn't stop running.
Husband is going to check it out tomorrow.
Any ideas?
(And no, it's not still running. We do shut it off. Just not the way it's supposed to be shut off.
