How's everyone doing with the SNOW

I'd be doing great with all the snow moving if that pesky buried 330 gallon propane tank didn't get in my way! That got exciting REAL quick!! If you're moving snow for people make sure they point out EVERYTHING that may be sticking up but is covered with snow.

Instant January thaw ... ?

When I remove my backhoe from my B26 I lose a great deal of traction, for obvious reasons. I realize I can add a weight bracket with suitcase weights, but would I still be able to add them with a rear blade attached?

Are your rear tires loaded, if not, that will help a lot. I use a rear pto 72" blower and FEL. 350' of drive plus 1000' + of logging type roads out to where the cows are. Blade wouldn't work there, too rough, so I just tip the blower back with the toplink so it rides over the rocks. Use the bucket to back drag and final scrape but the blower does the yeomans duty. My only problem now is having to switch out the blower for the sand/ salt spreader.

It would be difficult - something you'd have to fabricate yourself. Loaded rears are the best bet for weight.

I have loaded rears, but I leave the backhoe on for snow duty for the extra traction. I like my backhoe & FEL mounted plow setup much better than the rear blade/front bucket setup I started with on this machine. Too many neck cramps with the rear blade.

My current FEL mounted blade does the work that the rear blade/FEL bucket combo did in less time.

Actually haven't used the rear blade since I set up the front plow.

Doing well here in NEPA, so far my wheel horse with 2 stage blower has handled everything nature can toss at me......the BX is on hot standby till the next one blows over. Who needs a 2750 when my 20 year old wheel horse can handle it.... They just do not build em like that anymore, when they do...let me know!

Not much is different except the horn and added insulation, I have the horn wondering if I could buy the insulation panels ??
Funny the B3030 is still in the line up for 1200.00 more?

Finally, some pics. I've been waiting for info and pricing on the new B3000 cab with backhoe. Guess it's time to check back in with Brady and see if we have any info yet in the US.

Northern Minnesota has had over 50" of snow so far. Now, I realize it's not nearly what the NE corridor of the U.S. is getting, but it's enough that my FEL/rear blade combo just isn't keeping up in the time I have to work with. Every time I get up to the farm I spend the entire day moving snow and by the time I get done, it's time to go home. No time to relax and just enjoy the place.

Today, I contacted Sweet Implements, who are sending a 60" Buhler/FarmKing up to the frozen tundra I call home. I searched alll over the net for a good deal; then remembering all the helpful posts Ken has made on TBN without a heavy sales pitch, I decided this was the kind of guy I want to do business with. It should be here and ready to rock by the time my next big weekend comes around.
