Update campaign FC6192 Steering cylinder mount

I just received this Service Bulletin in the mail this morning. Have any of you heard of this, or have had this done? And if so, what do they do? Thanks in advance.

I have not had any issues with the "mount" to date, as of yet.

I just got the same letter. I am going to send a message to my dealer to see if its something that needs immediate attention. I will let everyone know what I find out if I get an answer soon. This could be the disadvantage to having a dealer so far away. Do recalls include pick up and delivery charges?

I'am kinda interested in what they are going to do.I know it's not a new GC !! But I have a 2007 GC 2300 that has had some changes done to it's steering cylinder mount.It was done prior to me getting the tractor.What mine has is double plates on each end of the steering cylinder.The one set had been worn out by ,either the bolts comming loose or just to much force on the single plates.I have had a bit of a issue with mine where the cylinder is and has actually been loose between the plates.My fix was to replace both cylinder end caps.That solved my problem.So what I had assumed was that the single plate wasn't thick enough so somewhere someone added in a extra plate thus the double plate on each end now but didn't change the worn cylinder end caps.Thats what I had to do in order to keep the cylinder from walking around like it did.So this is why I'am curious as to what there fix is going to be.I'll be watching this with interest.Larry

I have not heard an explanation of the problem/fix yet but my dealer did get back to me to tell me that he would send someone right to my house to do the service. I had a good feeling about buying from this dealer and this is reinforcing that feeling.

The dealer is going to order the bracket and I will see it by next week. I have not seen the picture of what it is but it sounds like a simple install.

Still interested in what this bracket looks like and what difference it is from what came on the tractor.Now are you supposed to change it yourself as well.Interested for sure keep us imformed with pics. Larry

The way it was explained to me they didn't install the bracket properly at the factory. I'm still waiting for the dealer to schedule an appointment but they are coming right to my house so I can be patient. Its supposed to be a quick 20-30 minute fix.

Exactly. They wanted me to drop mine off or have it picked up. I said if it is an easy fix I can do it myself. They said they would ship it to me. I got a call today they received it today and will ship to my house. They said it is a very simple change. Will post pics when I can.
