Thanks, if it holds up anywhere near the real thing,I'll be happy.

Nice looking machine...The ground clearance and the bucket seats are really nice. You'll love that windshield in the cold.

Let us know how it does...Congratulations:cool2:

I almost bought one. Heard some good things but as always, you really hear most about the things that are bad. I Had about 6K I wanted to put in one. I took every ones advice and bought a good used for the same amount, one made by the big 4 co's. Have no regrets.

I'm not going to comment about the quality of these Chinese "clones". That is something only time will tell. I do know there is much misinformation in this thread in regard to the "real' Rhino. Rhino's are assembled in Newnan Georgia.

Yamaha Motor Manufacturing Corporation

Some posters have claimed that "most" of the parts are made in China. False. I have yet to find one part stamped made in China. Plenty are labeled Made in USA. Even the radiator and oil cooler say T Rad, Made in USA.

Yamaha won the lawsuits, and they are not having financial difficulties.
Yamaha has over 4000 dealers and service locations in the USA. I know they will be there for service in ten years. Will Wong Dong be here in ten years? Don't know. But i certainly wouldn't risk my hard earned dollars buying a Pep Boys UTV.

Resale. Yamaha Rhino Good. Who is going to pay anything for a used Wong Dong?

I hope you all have very good luck with these "knockoffs".

chrisfromvegas, I'm the one who started this thread, be the first to admit i bought a knockoff, (the title of post says "clone")also be glad to tell everyone if i got ripped off. Not trying to give any misinformation. Just because something is assembled in the US, it does not mean it's parts were all made in the US. I highly doubt the entire Rhino comes from parts all made here. I know my wife's suburban is not. I paid at least $2500 less than I would have for a real Rhino, with a one year warranty. Time will tell if the warranty is worth the paper it's printed on. I've had problems with Ford warranty in the past too. Probably don't believe me,but I can afford to buy the real thing. I like to feel like I got a bargain. If this is a ripoff of the real Rhino, then I know Yamaha is familiar with our legal system. Yamaha should sue.

I hope I didn't come off as being critical of your decision. After all, it is your money. I was not claiming every part was made in the USA. I will say however, I have not found one part stamped made in China. Earlier in the thread someone claimed " I bet most of the parts come from China anyway". I would love to see that claim backed up with fact.

Please keep us informed how your machine holds up. It appears the quality of these machines has improved.

I don't believe Yamaha would have much success suing a company in China.

chrisfromvegas,no offense taken, I hope this holds up. My friends are giving me all kinds of grief. Looks like u bought the real thing. I took it out in the snow yest for about 30 min. no problems yet(except the reverse light inop). I really am afraid to run it like i did my arctic cat 500. I'd at least like to get some miles on it before something breaks. I really will be honest(although embarrassed if it's a pos) about how this thing works out.

Wow, you are all ready anticipating some thing breaking on it, don't sound very confident to me:eek:
