New England can be a b!tch in the winter and the snow, mixed I can understand.
I run a 26”, 8HP, Snapper, great Blower, three winters ago I was having a problem where the thing was not throwing snow as well as it did new. I just had the Blower gone through by a local guy and it just wasn’t doing what it did.
I pulled the Drive Belt Cover and found the idler was way too loose, mored it so the belts was tighter and back to new again.
I vote for readjustments, belts, engine RPM and an Auger Check.
Good Luck, there has to be more snow even though we will hit 50 by weeks end.
