I set out a game camera to get a grip on the habits of these pests. They have destroyed a few fields and tired of cleaning up after them. They must go but we have been only able to kill about half dozen a year and the multiply like rabbits. Once we learn their habits the AR15 and everything else I have will be waging WAR!

Saturday I was ridding around in the woods and found their nest. I have heard you would know when you ran across one. There must have been a ton of poop everywhere. A couple times after killing a 200 lb hog and going back the next day and the carcass gone with no signs of blood, drag marks or foot prints of any kind. Makes we wonder if something came along picked it up, threw it over its shoulder and walked away. Makes the hair on the back of my neck stand up!

Just arriver in Aspermont, Texas a few hours ago. Going out tomorrow morning to chase some of Texas piggies. We are going to guided by the famous Barefoot Bob Richardson. Cameraman is ready to film the hunt.

We find traps the most effective. One goes in & sets it off, others then push open swinging door to get into food. Apples best bait. Can get 6-8 in trap at once depending on size.

Bob Ha: Have been wanting to go on a hog hunt for some time now, too bad TX is so far from MD. I would be happy to remove some of your problems. We have been hog free up here in the mountains of Western Maryland but now, reports are coming in from Pennsylvania of feral hogs crossed with Russian wild boar. PA has some high fence hunting preserves and some Russian boar have evdently escaped over the years, thus the problem. Good luck with your problem.

There needs to be processing plants for feral hogs. They would be a great source of protein, maybe made into some sort of processed food. Then offer a bounty on them with no limit, no season.

Good luck with the hunt!

The ranch next to us uses helicopters. They get hundreds at a time but still more and more pigs.
