Does anybody know if this loader will mount on this tractor and is it too much loader for this tractor. The tractor does have front wheel assist. Would this be a job for a backyard mechanic to tackle? Thanks

Everyone has their own idea of how big a job they want to tackle. Adapting a loader to a tractor it wasn't designed to fit can be a big project. The LA950 was designed to fit the L4350, and L4850 - (and theoretically would bolt to the L3350, L3750, L4150, L4350 L4850 and L5450). The L4400 is a completely different tractor with a different loader mounting setup. Loader mounting frame plates are thick, heavy and hard to re-configure. The easiest loader for a L4400 is to find an LA703 that is a glove fit. As always, prompt refund if info is bogus. Take care, Dick B

One thing I do better than mechanical modifications is take advice, especially when it is someone who knows more about the subject than I do. I will bypass the loader which they are asking $2,000 for anyway and hope to run across the right one some time. Thanks

That might be an outstanding find for someone with an L3 series tractor. Do you know if it is a complete setup with bucket, brackets & valve?

You can go to golsn.com and go to the Farm and livestock section and type in "front loaders and buckets" in the search and you can see it in the background in one of the pictures. I can see the bucket and hoses on it.
