my 2520 was kinda hard to get in and out of gear when new . give it a firm hit with the heel of your hand it should go in gear .

I would not take this advice.Do not force it. Just put a little pressure on the range selector and press the forward or reverse pedal. You are trying to mesh gears together.

Your Hi/Lo range selector is not all the way engaged. Mine does the same thing. While slightly pushing the forward or reverse pedal, finish pushing the Hi/Lo selector the rest of the way. It will move another inch or 2. Now that I have a few hours on it it is getting better but still does it some. You'll love the tractor. Have fun.

That pretty poor service. I had a Kubota delivered from out of state (Barlows) and the driver spent almost an hour with me. The guy doesnt need to be a salesman but he could obviously move it.

My brand spanking new 2520 was delivered last night! She has .5 hours on her. I do have a VERY newbie question. I have searched the manual and google and still can't find the answer. Ok this is a little embarrassing, but... How do I make it go forward or reverse? I cranked it, made sure the parking brake was off, put it in Low and pressed the reverse pedal and nothing... same with forward. I am not sure I have it in gear... Seems like the gear lever only travels an inch or less when going from N to L or H... is this right? Is there a clutch to engage before selecting L or H? Since I had it shipped from out of state I got zero hand-on training (that's the downside of buying out of state). For the life of me, I can't figure out what I am doing wrong. It's torture seeing her sitting there, but not being able to do anything!
At times my 2305 would be a little hard to get in gear my 216 was the same way,all that I had to do while siting in the seat, was move a little as if I was trying to get the tractor to roll one way or the other while gently pushing on the gear selector. This always worked for me.

Try sitting on the seat, hard. If the seat switch does not sense a load it won't move. Bounce up and down on the seat a few time if that doesn't work.

Agreed, a little downward or upward pressure on the gear selector with just the lightest pressure on the hydro pedal. The gears aren't meshing so pressing the pedal will rotate the gears so they can mesh.

Mine sometimes doesn't like to go into low range until I tap the hydro pedal, then throw the range lever. I suspect that you are simply not pushing it all the way into gear.

I agree that your range selector is not in gear and you need to push on the forward or reverse pedal a little to help the gears mesh.

Whatever you do, don't be rough with the range selector. There have been several posts on here where the shift rod for that selector has broken inside the transmission and it's a big deal to fix it.

Congratulations on your new machine.

Please post pics.

Why don't you call your local dealer? Tell him you purchased it from a dealer in another state (better pricing) and did not get any training on it when it was delivered. Ask him to send someone out to go over usage, maintenance, warranty, etc. I am sure they will dispatch someone immediately.
