Id buy enough of that 12"-15" plastic flex piping to run the distance...use his BH and trench it slightly..lay the pipe in it and backfill

I just had that priced today. We want to bury a straight, 180 creek [it's a fairly impressive cut into the field that was professionally v-shaped about 10 years ago]. It is created by a 24" culvert pipe that runs underneath the street. The cost of the plastic pipe is $17 per foot. Geesh!!! Oil based products have become very pricey.

$3000+ just for the pipe, alone, puts this off for yet another year.

Is that for 24" ADS with the double wall, (smooth inside)?

RaT, sorry, I don't know the exact specs of the pipe he was choosing to use.

I just asked our friend who has done a lot of work here at the property to determine a materials and price list. He said the cost of the plastic pipe was excessive so we should hold off while he monitors the price in the region.

Off topic but for the above $17/ ft is a good price, close to what I paid for 18" smoothbore.

That's too bad. I was hoping to eventually locate a reduced price. We're looking to bury 180 feet of pipe which would run us $3060 just for the pipe. It's another project on the back burner due to cost, but it'll get done at some point.

I need 450 ft of 4" SCH 80 PVC electrical conduit. The price went through the roof a few weeks ago. Anyone know where I could score some reasonable?

Ok so here we are, year 2011, what did you wind up buying and how did it turn out? I am so curious.

Me too - just read this entire thread and his B26 should be about 3 years old now, and the B3030 cab purchase is due too! But, his last post was July 2008 so, alas, I doubt we'll find out.

Hey Connecticut, Rockland county, NY here. Seems like most of the posters in this thread are no longer on-line. I just took a shot to see if things worked out as he planned. Not sure how i even found the thread in the first place.

It was a good read, but I kept waiting for someone to come to the rescue of the B26's reputation. A couple of the posters seemed to convince everyone else that the B26 is just a B2630 with a dedicated loader and backhoe, but my intuition leads me to believe it's not that simple. Really would like to know what the PSI setting is on the B26 and see some posts from real world users who could compare it to a regular B series TLB. I'm sure the BH subframe is much more robust than the subframe for a Woods or Kubota add on BH. Spec's are nice, but experience is the real teacher.
