Ignoring safety warnings and bypassing safety devices

Seems like we only need one warning label to cover all situations: "Don't do anything stupid while using this device."

That might have worked...until Clinton's lawyer replied "It depends on what your definition of "is" is...

That would prevent most Republicans from ever operating the machine if you did that. Oh wait, I forgot that they ignore warnings and rules anyway so it wouldn't matter.

Do we really want to go down the Democrat/Republican/Libertarian etc. road on a tractor forum?

Not really....my comment was about lawyers...that ""is" is" is probably the most famous example (at least in recent history) of how idiotic they can be...

Roy, my comment was not directed at your post. The meaning of what "is is" has become a universal and at least to me is more indicative legalese than any one party. All parties have their crazy uncles, heroes and those who strive to mediocrity.

I don't belong to any political party as it seems there are no real demarcation lines anymore and labels are meaningless. I judge/evaluate politicians based on performance and compatibility of beliefs and have never voted a straight ticket in my life.

I say, discontinue all the safety sticker BS and let evolution take its course and have it weed out the idiots and mentally challenged among us.:p

Seems like they do most of the breeding nowadays cause there is more of them now than ever before.;)

I did not want to remove my seat safety switch but I modified the sensitivity on my seat switch on my BX2660 and made a big difference. Have not had any more problems and yet the safety switch still works if I get off the seat.

BX2660 Deluxe Reclining Seat Kill Switch Adjustment Project.
Well, I pulled the seat apart and was surprised at where the switch was located. Basicly the switch is located beneath the cushion and is located right between my legs where there is the least downward pressure. (manly equipment related comments not required.)
For the photo, I placed a white dot directly where the switch is. If they had put the switch 2-3 inches further back, there would not be a problem.
As you can see in the photo, it is a small push button switch with a 2" diameter cover. What I did was place a 2"x5"x1/4" piece of plexiglass against the bottom of the cushion where the switch goes. I placed a dot of silicon on the cushion to keep the plexiglass in place. This gives wider and more uniform downward pressure on the switch.
End result is Problem Solved. Switch works great with much less pressure.

A " well hung" guy would've triggered that stock located switch no problem :laughing:

Stupid people shouldn't breed:laughing::laughing:

I don't think that the parts needed for breeding are the ones getting damaged by their stupidity, so simply removing the warnings wouldn't help.

Besides, then the rest of us wouldn't have "stupid warnings" to laugh at and act as fodder for forums like this. :laughing:
