Kubota L35, 1952 Farmall Cub
Hi, folks. I've been lurking awhile looking for info before I bought - Thanks for all that. Today, I wrote a check for an L35 w/1600 hours on it. It was in by far the best condition of any of the used machines I'd looked at - clean, apparently well maintained, tight and strong. Can't wait for the dealer to deliver it. And yeah, I know I probably paid more at a dealer, but this guy is local, with a good rep. He sold this particular tractor new, and has done all the service on it over the years, so he knows the machine. That seemed worth a bit more money.

I've got 13 acres (mostly wooded) and 1000 feet of gravel driveway to maintain. I also have a part-time construction business, and this seemed like an ideal machine.

One thing I'd like to find is manuals. They're really pricey new. Does anyone know of a good source for used ones?

Thanks much,

Andy

Great tractor, used to rent one when I had a job too big for the tractor I had at the time. Did you get a backhoe?

Congratulations on your new tractor, I did the same thing when I was looking for a mid size tractor. I got my L5030 at the dealer where it was sold and maintained. It had all of the maintenance records. It was well worth any additional money I might have paid. I haven't been able to find a goo dused one anywhere else, so it was that or new.

Sorry, I can't help you on the manuals, I bought mine from the dealer.

If you google kubota L35 manual, there is a scanned .pdf parts manual out there, first result. I found scanned versions of my operator and parts manuals so far.

Yes, I did. The frame-mount hoe is half the reason I chose this particular machine.

Thanks, I downloaded the parts manual. But I haven't found the operator or shop manuals except at a sketchy torrent site. Not worth the risk of a virus.

The dealer should deliver the machine today, but all I've got for it at the moment are some piles of snow to move around. That will be followed by a few weeks of mud season, then we'll get to work.
