Picked up a used 620i a few days ago, and I would like to get a windshield for it. From reading most of the post on here, it sounds like your better off going with the glass unit. I can get a JD Glass windshield from my dealer for $655, which is about double of the JD plastic unit. Is it worth it? Is there better options aftermarket?

If it is only double the price, I would go for the glass. My brother in law has a 2 year old Gator and the plexiglass is so scratched up that it needs to be replaced now and he mostly uses his in pasture land. Just a sideswipe with a tree limb will scratch that plexiglass and cleaning the dust and mud off is going to leave fine scratches that really show up in the sunlight glare. Kubota RTV price is over $800 for glass windshield.

I'm very happy with my ABS roof, and safety glass windshield from Prosum Equipment. I've been meaning to get pictures to post and write a review but I've been very busy with work and home projects and haven't taken the time. We actually bought two setups, one for my neighbor with his new 625i and one for our 850D.
Look at his web site for some pictures. I bought the roof, header with 2 additional lights, and windshield.
Highly recommended, and worked out cheaper than JD for me. And better, IMO.

If you are wanting to stick with JD, definitely go with the JD glass windshield and wiper. It is much better than the new 1/2 windshield which has diminished in quality recently.

I looked at Prosum. I already have the JD poly roof, whould their windsheild work with it? What did that windshield cost you?

Regardless of brand, Glass will give you better service.

ORCM, I can't tell you if it would work or what you would have to buy. Call them and get the real answers and a real quote.
Good luck.

Went ahead a pulled the trigger on a JD glass windshield. My dealer gave me a pretty good deal. It was within $100 of the Prosum, and it didn't include the wipper.

Great. I think you'll be very happy with glass. My dealer told me, straight out, don't buy the plexiglass (which they had on the Gators in the showroom) because of the hazing.

Yeah, I checked and the new X25 series has the same OPS. So some day when I upgrade I can keep the windshield.

Deler had a new 825i with the bucket seats , good thing I alread have a Gator.
