Loader Pallet Forks

   / Pallet Forks #11
I have the Horst 3700# forks for my 4320 and am really happy with them. They weren't cheap from the dealer, but I wouldn't go lighter. Forks that you have to worry about damaging are going to be a lot less useful. I wish I had thought to have the dealer weld on a pair of hooks before I brought mine home. It would be nice to able to use a chain when I've got barrels standing on the forks, or whatever.

I bought the Frontier 42"or 44" for my 3320 and added 6' channel with safety chains tapered and capped the ends for the times I want to reach out and pick up brush or carry branches. No regrets ,I don't always have the extensions on.

That's what I have as well and am very happy with them, just used them yesterday :)

At the time, the other ones (JD line) that were available had no upper gaurd just flush with the top of the fork beam, did not like that. happy to pay more for a better product.

I just called Horst yesterday, thinking about this thread I forgot which ones I had, since it doesn't say on the label. they told me if the fork is 1 and 3/8 inch thick, they are the 3700#. 1 and 1/2 inch for the 5500#, that's figured at half way out the forks. That's around twice my loader's capacity, I have abused mine with no ill effects.

Modded mine to work with my JD 3PT imatch, very handy

JB4310, any chance you could post pictures of your mods to make your Horst forks fit on the 3pth? I am thinking about doing the same thing. It's not very complicated, but if you learned something that I haven't thought of, I'd love to see it.

I welded solid steel round bar stock on, for upper and lower J hooks on the imatch. Can't remember the diameters but they are different sizes, I was able to find exact tight fit at a scrap steel dealer.

HTL makes it more usable now.
