did you put a gfci at the beginning of each chain of outlets? Or have gfci breakers?

I got dinged for that from the inspector because there was a floor drain in the building.

Yep, each outlet string has a GFCI at the beginning of it. Should be covered.

Thanks for the heads up though.

Update:

Been chipping away at the shop now that winter is showing signs of being over (I say as I hear about the upcoming chances for snow in the forecast).

Got the wiring done, except for putting up a floodlight out above the overhead door (don't like extension ladders sitting on ice that much). Started in on insulation and interior walls. Decided on OSB. Partially due to the price which is about as low as I've ever seen it around here, durability, and ability to hang stuff anywhere.

Nothing risque in the one pic, just an unsightly pile of my stuff. Everything got moved into the shop in a hurry to get out of a storage unit and is sort of piled/pushed to the middle to be out of the way while I work around the outside. Now that I have a good chunk of wall finished in the corner, I can assemble the nice steel shelf (tall box in the pic) and get some of this stuff put away. Can also push toolbox, etc over near their final home against that wall and out of the way as I work around the outside walls...

Painting the OSB makes a _huge_ difference in how bright the room is. In this shot, the bottom panels are 3/4 plywood (so I could screw stuff into them), and the top panels are OSB. You can see a few places where the ink on the OSB bled through the paint a little, I did not prime the OSB. Overall, a big win and fairly easy to do .

I also painted the exposed foam insulation so it would not degrade with light, that's what you see at the top. This also helped with the brightness.

What's the deal with the ridge vents and spray foam? Did you plan on spray foam when you went with the vents?

I want to know because I'm trying to decide if I want to go with spray foam on mine (yet to be built) or not. I've been condisdering the following for the wall (outside to the inside): Metal,1.5" foam board, nailers, wet sprayed Cellulose, nailers, acustic metal (I'm thinking the holes in the accustic metal would allow for better drying). For the Ceiling I'm thinking vented with conventionally blown in cellulose. However, I'm also considering spray foam and would not vent the roof.

On the walls I may just put the nailers on their side between the posts on 16" centers (2x6 laid flat) and go with foam on the outside and fiberglass on the inside.

Still going... Finished up the OSB on the inside walls a few weeks back. Ordered in white steel panels for the ceiling. Today I was able to put the last couple pieces in on the North side, so I'm about 1/2 done...
