Price Check 2007 L4740HST 4X4 $18,500

I have found a 2007 Kubota L4740 HST with 4X4, LA854 Loader, R4 tires rear are worn, 800 engine hours and 550 PTO hours. They are asking $18,500 for it, is this a good deal or not? Does the 2007 have all The Grand features of the current 2011 models?

sounds like a good deal to me.the only way youd know about the features is look at both tractors.

There are very minor differences such as the swiveling seat between the -1 -2 -3 Series. One advantage to an older tractor is that I believe many new ones are coming out with Tier IV engines with stricter pollution controls and a little added maintenance.

I bought an 03 L5030 last year and am happy with it and it doesn't even have the HST+, so I wouldn't worry about the minor differences in the L40 Series.

I am extremely happy with my 2007. Based on the research that I did when I bought this past summer, the 2010 models do not have any features to miss.

I would say that is about what I paid when I bought the tractor that is in my signature. But, I am guessing. Mine is a 2007 also, but it wasn't put into service until Jan 08. I bought it with 450 hours and numerous implements, thus I paid more for the package than $18,500. My tires are different but it sounds like they have more life left in them (maybe 3-6 years with current usage patterns) than the R4s that you described.

If you search my name, I described my purchase in several posts. I was as careful as possible about having it checked over including checking the background of the private seller that I bought from.

I ended up buying today...... 2011 L4240 HSTC-3 4x4 Industrial Tires, deluxe sunshade, FEL LA854 with HD Quick Detach Bucket, 3rd function valve, 5' Rhino HD 260 Rotary cutter, 6' Woods HD box scraper, Construction Attachments Compact 72" Grapple, Woods Rear Quick Hitch. The grand total $33,000 at 0% for 5 years. Once I priced out the used stuff loaded with these implements with interest on a loan it was basically same price to go brand new route. Pics are before it's gets loaded up tomorrow.

If you have to replace the whole set of tires that will set you back another $1200-1500 or so. Does the tractor have 1350hrs total or 800 total and 550 out of that is claimed to be some sort of PTO use?
