Hey, I am working on the one of every attachment thing too. So far two box blades and one drag scraper, four rotary cutters, disk, moldboard plow, two back blades, sickle mower, landscape rake, gin pole, spike tooth harrow...

why get a rfm over mmm? hmm there's lots differences for sure. It doesnt mean its a pro or con. you just pick which suits you the best.
how about ability to backup under trees with low branches to mow? rear fulcrum ballast when doing FEL work? no more fussing with the MMM pto hookup/ disconnect. good for people with walking and/or muscle disabilities. ability to use imatch or quick hitch for fast hookup/disconnects. you can go wider then MMM. some are limited to 60 or 72 wide for MMM and you can go up a foot wider then MMM. some tractors have no MMM pto.

bigger the tractor gets. the less room ya end up between the front and rear tires. and more complex a setup would need to be for a mid mount mower. vs a rear mower. that can take up as much room behind tractor as needed.
and with bigger tractors come bat wing mowers. or rather 2 to 3 finishing mower decks behind the tractor. or 2 bush hogs, or perhaps a gang of reel mowers.
i am still undecided if i would prefer bat wing finishing mowers, or a gang of real mowers. finishing mowers can cut higher / taller grass. but real mowers require less hp to pull them. tuff choices. go with something that can deal with more curves of the land. or go with something that can scalp more areas.
back to the topic. RFM, can be easier to change blades out, to sharpen them. easier to see if a blade has stopped due to cutting to tall of grass and the belt is slipping across the pulley.
if ya ever had to push and pull and lift a belly mower out, from riding lawn mower, to a SCUT or CUT. you will quickly find out. you either run out of steam. or hope ya don't get ya fingers pinched as ya try to wiggle them around a tire. and then there is the cost of normally the long belt. and then the *uth oh* which way does this belt go on again? and cross fingers as ya start it up and take it for a quick spin.
belly mowers are also hard to get to the middle spindle grease zerk. more so riding lawn mowers, or SCUT were the frame and top of the deck are almost touching. let alone using an air compressor or broom to wipe off any dead grass clippings on them or any mud. to keep the deck in good condition.
there be reason they call folks "grease monkeys" when ya dealing with a MMM / belly mower. many times ya end up acting like one without even realizing it.
it is not that bad, if the MMM / belly mower is just for mowing grass. and nothing else. but when the same tractor has a FEL, or other 3pt hitch attachments. that belly mower, gets rather tiresome rather quickly.

The belly mower probably only fits a particular make and model of tractor. The 3-point rear fiinish mower is still good if you should trade tractors. Or if you ever want to sell the mower, a MM mower might be hard to get rid of since your market will be very limited. I had the rear finish mower and wouldn't have it any other way.

Why RFM? It's been covered here well.
Move it to another tractor, cheaper, easier to mount/dismount, rear discharge. Yup, those are the reasons I did.

A rear mount is easier to service. It's out in the open and not buried under the tractor. Ground clearance was mentioned. A MMM can get scrunched easily doing loader work. They are harder to learn to mow close around obstacles until you get used to them.
