Wire in the roll is good, but it has to be sized for the job. All it does is keeps the cracks locked together so the pieces won't heave relative to each other. It wouldn't just disappear so their memory is poor or the contractor took advantage.
Rust. All you could see was rust lines where it was. Wire in a roll is good for a while, but not a long while. Quite common.

You mean there are places that you need a permit to get and use fill???
Sounds like a perfect spot for a floor drain.The porch is concave instead of convex, so when it rains all the water ends up in the middle of my covered work area... Does anyone know of an easy way to aid in fixing the slab so it will drain?
