Helped my good friend down the road with his driveway. We share workshops, tools etc.
On the way home(just before my lane) the front left wheel locked up. Left a black mark on the pavement. I stopped, tried going forward, moved a bit. Backed up fine. Moved forward slowly and made it home. The tractor is due for 700 hour service. I called the dealer and explained the situation. I also noticed a bit of oil leaking around the hub assembly. He suggested it might be a bearing and to take it apart bring it to him Monday and they will fix and return when the do the servicing later in the week. It was a challenge to get the wheel lugs off and all of the other bolts. Is it a good procedure to take all the wheel lugs off a grease?

This is what I found... more than a bearing...

Both bevel gears need replacing. The housing/cover has a little nick in it plus the axle case has a few burs at the base just below the cog.

Do you think this might be covered under the warranty?
** The drive line includes the clutch housing, transmission case, differential and final drive housing, and all parts contained therein, plus drive axles and external drive shafts. Does NOT include drive clutch disc or PTO clutch disc (wet or dry)

As a general rule I always stop before engaging in 4wd. Plus, when not needed, for driving I disengage 4wd.

If the tractor is still under W. then I think It would be. Depends on your dealers interpretation of general wear!

I can't see any reason why this wouldn't be covered.
There is no blueing to the gears. It look like it may have just been a failure.

The warranty is for 24 months. If the tractor is older than that it wouldn't be covered.

Looks like a casting flaw, upper part of gear looks like 1/2 an empty bubble, was probably an air bubble in casting, and as a weak spot it just let go and a bunch of the tooth chunked out as well, I would be concerned if it was not covered by warranty.

Hope your treated well, I had an automatic transmission repaired under warranty only to have the spider gear blow apart and went right through the transmission case a month later, dealer said abuse, I asked if the mechanic who rebuilt it could have missed a hair line crack in spider gear, company rep agreed with me and was repaired under warranty, dealer apologised.

If your dealer says it's not covered on warranty(crack on cab near antenna and rear work light), i would sent kioti an e-mail from their web site. I already had a dealer say it's not under warranty, but i sent an e-mail to them. Within 7 work days someone had wrote back and asked pics of the damage. 3 days later repair approval order to replace the cab top. Kioti, unlike other companies REALLY care about their customers:thumbsup: (had bad experience with 3 month old B3030, kubota did nothing, i payed the bill, last kubota EVER) Good luck.

Sure looks like a tooth blew out and got caught up in the housing, thus the case damage resulting too.
Dealer should take care of it for you under warranty.
