Mahindra Attachments & Farm Equipment – front end loaders, backhoes, mowers & more I believe they are manufactured by KMW, who also makes loaders for many Mahindra models.
I don't see how it could possible dig any better than it does. It is a very strong unit that is mounted to a heavy duty subframe. The only problem, and this has nothing to do with the back hoe - 12" buckets like to hold on to moist clay. I understand it isn't as bad if you are using an 18" bucket.
As to whether or not it is worth the cost, I'd say not for the occasional user, but for commercial use, yes. I probably would not have bought one if I had to buy new. I was able to find one a guy was getting rid of. It had very low hours, and I figured since it would go on several different Mahindra models, I could easily re-sell it when I was done with projects on my ten acres.
