I was talking with my NH sales rep in Bangor last night and he was told to give a last years leftover 8N, with FEL, away for 28,000 CASH. They won't do it if its financed.

Anyone interested contact Ralph at T&B Equipment.

Better check Tractorhouse. 8N's on there for lots less than $28K

A lot of complaints on the CVT transmission be careful. I really like the looks and finish though.

I'm not a salesman, and would have to question the "how" for new, because he claims this is less than their cost.

I made the offer to post it and just following up.

Someone will, but not me.
Just like I won't spend $35K for an electric car.

It occurs to me that if New Holland had priced these tractors at $28k or at least under $30k with loader in the beginning, we'd be talking about a success story instead of a dismal marketing failure. Maybe I don't know what I'm talking about, but then again, maybe I do.:confused3:

It should have been 30Hp and hydrostatic, and had a price to match that. Going top of the line was a mistake.

exactly right. if the tractor was 30 to 35 hp and had the styling it would have been awesome and sold great

You guys are right, of course. I tend to forget that not everyone needs a higher HP tractor like I do. If the Boomer 8N had been closer to the original and more in the range of most buyers, it would have been great for NH. If I wanted a 50+ HP tractor, there were plenty of good, hard working NH tractors already available in that range.
