Tractor
two john deere Sabres (2554-Scotts) and 4410 john deere ,Allis Chalmers WD , 5' Cub Cadet Zero turn
I bought a used John Deere 4410 and assumed it was a modern machine that had downward hydrolic power on the three point. I sold an old poor mans Deere an 880 Oliver and it had about 4000lb down or up. Is mine broke or do all JD4410 have no 3-point down power. The Oliver could pick up the rear tires with a garden box or blade etc. attached. --fuseboxer

I don't know of any makes or models of compact tractor that has down pressure on the 3 point..

Most newer units including the 4410 will not have down pressure on the 3 point hitch.
Hope this helps.

The Belarus Russian tractor had down pressure. Not any current production tractors, that I can think of does have? Ken Sweet

I am shocked that it does not have the ability to lift the back tires off the ground. The engineering design was there 50 years ago.

I bet it didn't pull very well that way! :)

Several times I wish I had down pressure to force a scarifier under a rock, etc.

Many of those old tractors just used a hydraulic cylinder to raise and lower. Not much tech about that. Tech is using 3 point with draft control to make the implement take the ground. Many of the new CUTS dont have that feature. All should have. Ken Sweet

My 56 IH Utility 300 did have down pressure and would lift the rear (with loaded tires) off the ground...it was handy for putting on the Canadian Chains.

What did you do for draft control when plowing? Ken Sweet

That particular tractor spent most of its life in the woods....
