Well with the upcoming move to Peoria, i face having to tow all my farm crap 2.5 hrs north. The old 85 C30 dump just isnt up to that task. (its for sale btw)

So after shopping around, looking at our options, looking at the cost of various tow vehicles. we found a new one

2001 E350 van 5.4L and 4.10 gears previous church van $3500

The 4.10 gears are nice behind the 4.10's . I had a 99 F-150 stepside bed regular cab 4x4 XLT with 4.10 gears and the same vintage 5.4L. It was a powerful little truck.

Love the old military 6x6. Is that a 5 ton? Wish you found decent ones around here.

I have a small tractor, a kioti ck2o. When I bought it my wife brought it home in my utility trailer. The trailer was good for the weight but not big enough. She pulled it home with her Honda Pilot which did great.
I have since bought an old car hauler made from a travel trailer frame with box tubing and brakes on both axles. I put composite scaffold boards on for the deck to help keep the weight down. I will use the trailer mainly to haul hay but it works great for my tractor. I pull it from my property to my house occassionally to do a little work here or to work on the tractor. It is a 12 mile round trip.
I pull it with my wifes Honda or my Toyota Tacoma. The Toyota is a 4 cylinder 5 speed and it pulls it suprisingly well.

Philly ain't too far at all. May have to check that out. Course I say that a lot. I think one of those would be great for use as a farm truck, backup/yard tractor, and for takin equipment to tractor pulls.

Kyle

Yes. It is an old M52A2 5t Tractor. I did have to put some money and work into it, to get it road worthy. And, I still have more to do. But, it is a joy to take through the fields and handles the hay loads like a champ!!

Where are you located, check out the Steel Soldiers Website, Steel Soldiers, I am sure you can find something close to you.
