Big Bri, very nice. How are you liking the new 6.7? I am guessing it does great towing that load?

It's been nice, the only major complaint i have is the millage. I've avg. about 13.5 for the last 7k miles. I do a lot of city driving, mostly a mile or two. I did take a 3hr drive avg about 65mph and got 18mpg on that trip.
as far as towing it pulls great, lots of power. the only thing i should have done different is. . . (here a plug for dimondpilot) i should have bought the 350srw:D i find her light in the rear, i don't have bags or any thing so you have to load the trailer just right, as you can see in one of the pic's i loaded heavy on ball.

I told you so. :D:D:D:D I have made that mistake myself so you live and learn.

As for the MPG its exactly what my friend is getting with a 2010 Dmax 2500 4x4. He gets 13mpg around town and 18mpg on the highway.

I thought the new 6.7's were getting better mileage, like in the neighborhood of 15+ mixed driving and 20+ all highway? Those are the numbers all the magazine test are reporting and what people at the diesel pumps are saying. Not that i believe the magazine tests or what most people claim at the pump but I have no experience with the new truck/engine so i was just curious. ]
Just wanted to say this is not a slam on you or Ford, i'm just curious.

THEY LIE

Just so you know their are two trip meters on the new truck trip A and Trip B
they both tell you time traveled miles traveled avg speed and avg millage. i have not reset trip B from the day i bought the truck. (i ordered it and got it with 3 miles on it) From the time i bought the truck to today i have avg 13.2 mpg's. The computer is Very close as i do hand cal. at each fill up and it is always ether on the money or .1+/- what i got.

I love my truck, but don't believe anyone who tells me that they avg 20+ mpg on one of these things. I have 3 other friends who have the same truck (different trim but all crew cab diesel 4x4) and the best any have avg for a tank has been a little better than 15 mpg.
The reason the avg is so bad is the regens. When you are cruzing down the road at 70mpg the fuel meter will show 20 mpg, but when you go in to a regen (for me about every 150 to 200 miles) the millage will drop to some where in the 12.5 to 13.5 mpg. It is even worst when driving in town.
It's one of those things i am willing to live with for the first 100k miles, but when the warranty is out i will get the tune that elimates the regen's to get the better millage.
I don't say this to be snobbish or eliteish but I tell everyone who ask about the millage if you have to ask don't buy it, it just means you can't afford it.

I agree with you 100%. It is nice to hear mileage from someone who is honest.

The little back in the country garage where i get inspections and such done on my vehicles has a guy that works there that also works at a welding shop. At the welding shop they had an 03 Dodge Cummins 1 ton that they use to haul metal stock in with. He always tells me how that truck would average 18 mpg (its never unhooked from the trailer) and that it would pull an 8% grade (the shop is at the top of the hill) at 75+ mph and still get 15 mpg coming up the hill. I don't even argue with these people, it's better just to let them live in their special little world.
Glad you are enjoying your truck.

just a pic of the fuel gauge for ya'll to see
First one shows the total fuel eco. the second shows what i've avg on that tank (12.9 and the green par show what i'm getting at that time going about 70mph around 13/14) the 3 shows what i'm getting at 50 mph around 19/20
