So you too have a hydraulic pump on your aux PTO shaft Bob? I guess I have to apologize. I thought only Kama/TaiShan owners here had such a configuration. Nevertheless this is a tractor, not a dozer - and I'm not convinced the configuration is identical. A bad PTO pump shaft seal will in fact leak fluid in the direction of the rear diff. But there are two bearings and an O-ring to go through before the hydraulic fluid actually gets into the sump. And a leaking pump doesn't have all that much pressure anymore. If we're to believe the OP, I am not sure that much could be forced through those two bearings and past that O-ring in the quantities he describes. I'd expect most of it to be running down the outside of the rear diff housing.

I used to when I had the LW-6 backhoe before I installed the Prince pump.

If you look at the TPH lift box / differential housing on the dozer you will see that it is virtually identical in design to the (generic Chinese) wheeled tractors. Kama/TaiShan chooses to mount their pumps back there for some reason, dunno why, maybe saves space under the hood. Some old domestic tractors installed their pumps in front of the radiator. Go figure

Why would I continue to blow out the oil seal?

Why would I continue to blow out the oil seal? What about the torque of the bolts? Maybe smaller ID?

Jeff,

I think Bob Rooks has your answer in his earlier post when he said, "I speculate that there is a serious restriction on the pressure side of the pump causing the seal to blow, quite possibly the internal "figure-8" seals are blown or there is too much clearance between the gears and end plates. Also, the end plate bearings could be bad/oversized through wear."

Your hydraulic pump is not able to push the oil where its supposed to go due to some obstruction or due to wear in the pump itself and so it is pushing it past the pump shaft seal into the differential. You need to have the pump checked out to be sure it is functioning properly and then find out where in the hydraulic system the obstruction or "choke point" is if the pump itself is okay.

Changing to a non-standard seal will only make the problem worse, not better - those seals are sized to tolerances of thousandths of an inch or ten thousandths of an inch and the next smaller seal will be a full millimeter (.004") smaller - a no go. If you torque the pump housing bolts incorrectly you may warp the end plates, not a good thing either.

My KAMA TS 254C is still giving me fits in the hydraulics. On page 107
of my parts manual, item #15 is the hydraulic cylinder. In trying to search out potentially clogges lines, etc, I must have lost a couple of the components inside the case. Those being items#33, and 35. Check valve seat and check valve spring retainer.

Can someone tell me if I can buy these two small parts anywhere?

I have not found one line, orifice, hose, etc. that are clogged, so once i replace the parts mentioned above, I should be back in business. If still a no-go, I will be completely lost.

Due to the high incedence of seal problems in pumps that have been dead headed, I have suspected that if the aluminum housing does not rupture, it may be distorted, allowing pressure in the wrong places inside the pump and continuously blowing the seal. For this reason, I usually recommend forgoing the seal kits and just putting on a new pump, once the original reason for the dead heading is identified and corrected. It can be a temporary blockage, for example, a pressure relief valve set to high in a loader, when the cylinders reach the end of their stroke, if the PR valve doesnt release, something else will.

Chip, The pump is OK. Can you provide the parts I need for the Hyd distributor assembly, or the entire part?
