So you too have a hydraulic pump on your aux PTO shaft Bob? I guess I have to apologize. I thought only Kama/TaiShan owners here had such a configuration. Nevertheless this is a tractor, not a dozer - and I'm not convinced the configuration is identical. A bad PTO pump shaft seal will in fact leak fluid in the direction of the rear diff. But there are two bearings and an O-ring to go through before the hydraulic fluid actually gets into the sump. And a leaking pump doesn't have all that much pressure anymore. If we're to believe the OP, I am not sure that much could be forced through those two bearings and past that O-ring in the quantities he describes. I'd expect most of it to be running down the outside of the rear diff housing.
