3PH Woods RM42 Mower

Hi everyone: I am asking this question for a friend, He purchased the RM42 for on his BX2100 he didn't put up much $ for it. But its made to run CCW is there a way to change it to CW.

Hang on to it and put it up for sale. There are a few people out there with the Satoh CCW PTO that are looking for one like you have . Buy the correct one and you'll make 2 people happy.

You can purchase the proper rotation blades for it from any Woods dealer. If he does not want to replace the spindles, just make sure he uses locktite on the bolts. He should be fine.

Does he have the manual? I just got a Woods RM42 on a used mower and I need to know the proper RPM. I致e seen numbers, online, from 540 to 2000. I like to get a manual as well as find out about the proper speed.

I had on old RM42 and have attached 3 .pdf's of operator's manuals in a .zip file. I don't know what the difference is between the files but perhaps they will help. I had to use a .zip because 2 of the files are over the 1 MB limit for .pdf files.

One of the manual files is under 1 MB so I can attach that as a .pdf if the .zip does not meet your needs.

If you go to the Woods Equipment web site and look for manuals, they have all of the manuals online for download for free. I got mine for my RM48 there last week.

The only difference between the CW and CCW models is the spindle shaft (left hand vs right hand thread bolts) and the blade. Other than that it's all the same. Cost of a new spindle will be expensive however.

Thanks. That sound like what I need but I can't get it to extract. I've tried doiwnloading it a couple of times and get "End-of-central-directory signature not found. Either this file is not a Zip file, or it constitutes one disk of a multi-part Zip file.".
