Noise canceling headphones why did I wait so long

I have a pair of Sonys. Play my ipods through them when I'm mowing with my Kubota ZD222 or working with my Kubota B2920. I have the Monster Control mounted to the armrest of the machines and cook the tunes while I work away. Gotta love it..................Mike

Does anyone know if there is a style of these that will work with hearing aids on? I left much of my hearing in Southeast Asia, but still need to protect what I have left. I wonder if they amplify things enough that I could listen to music without my hearing aids, and yet tune out some of the dangerous sound levels..

I got the BOSE over ear noise canceling headphones as a gift. They were $300 which is very expensive but worth every penny. I would not go outside to work or get on a plane without them.

The Bose headsets worn by several pilots I know, cost $1000.00

They keep trying to get me to try them. I won't. I wouldn't spending a grand for a headset, even if it gave me a head massage.:thumbsup:

I've been using cheap in-ear Philips earbuds with a set of headphone ear protectors for a few years not when in the tractor, running the push mower or trimming. Works pretty well other than the headphones make my ears hot after awhile.

Might give the noise-canceling ones a try when the current setup wears out for me. Glad the prices are coming down on them - they were CRAZY expensive a year or so ago.

I have to say I am very impressed with them. My lawn tractor is pretty loud with the PTO running. I was brush hogging this morning & I just came in from running the gas weed whacker listening to Howard Stern very easily through all of it. I'm giving them 2 thumbs up :thumbsup: :thumbsup:
