3320 Power steering hose covers

While changing the front axle oil I noticed the left hand hose which ends up on the right hand steering cylinder fitting had rubbed/polished the left hand hose ferrule and fitting. Those 2 hoses have a rough coating on them, but the left hose was smooth at the contact point. The tractor has 112 hours.

I also found that were both hoses go thru the frame to the hard lines, the inside top of the frame rails were sharp...which caused the right hand hose to loose its rough coating.

The pix is the end product of using 1/2 inch I.D. split flex tubing to stop the contact.

Thanks for the fix, I noticed the hoses on my 3320 were worn down tothe metal where it touched the front pto shaft when my snow blower was on last winter. Think I'll pick up some split tubing myself.

I'd sure worry that a stick from the woods would catch that lower loop and cause some serious problem. Is there a way to rotate the left fitting to bring that up a bit so the loop is higher (and not as exposed) ?

Actually that's a good point. On my tractor I moved the hose up and retightened the the fitting nut so it doesn't hang so low.
