Back in my younger, bass fishin', Wild Turkey consuming days, I might have been one of those providing entertainment.... :O
I KNOW i provided a few laughs while behind the wheel in one of my few moments at a boat ramp. Friend's ski boat was always funded by him, he would never accept contributions to the cause, so one day I suggested I pull the boat to the ramp for him, while he was still at work, and he could meet us at the ramp. Good ole '66 had plenty of power to pull it, and the boat really wasn't that heavy, plus the positraction rear end had to help on that slick moss covered ramp. What I didn't bet on was the carburetor float level and what that ramp would do once I got right at the waters edge... plus the fact that everybody knows '66 corvette parking brakes aren't for keeping the vehicle still, much less on a ramp. So here I am, with the car in a perilous state of not wanting to run right, standard shift, steep ramp, heavy boat and the water is getting deeper every second...and I made a deal with my deal sweet Lord, if he would let me get out of this mess, I would NEVER hook another boat trailer to the back of that '66 Corvette as long as I lived. Needless to say, I haven't been back to a boat ramp with that car since, with or without a trailer. I am sure I provided plenty of entertainment to last everyone present for years to come. Just glad it was before the internet and cell phone cameras, or I would be seeing the video for years to come.
