How much should I offer for this toolbar?

A coworker of mine is cleaning out her dad's old barn. She has this toolbar that I'm interested in. It's missing one of the lower lift pins, which is a minor thing. Other than that it looks to be in great shape. I wish it would be a solid bar, but I'm sure it will be fine for anything I'll ever use it for. What do these typically sell for? I'm thinking of offering $50-$100. How does that sound?

Don't get it! Call my dad over off of Walker South and tell him to go give her $25 for me!

I'll be down in a few weeks to pick it up!

I'd think fifty is good. There's got to be some tools there that go on it too.

I just pulled this off e-bay. $89, so I would probably offer $35/$40 for that one.

I would buy the tool bar just because but this one I could use TODAY. :thumbsup:

Unfortunately there are no tools for it. Just the bar.

Found out she wants $100 for it. I don't think I want to pay that for it. I'm goin to think about it over the weekend and maybe make her an offer on Monday.

You're right, I was only using that to show a relative value. I have no idea what I would need a bar that wide for but it still needs a part to even hook it up.

Actually, I want to build a yard roller and that would make a very good start for the TPH end. Still wouldn't pay $100 for that.

That looks like $20 of semi-scrap. Even if it's fully functional it's only maybe $30 worth of steel. If it has some utility, then $20-30 is about right. Some people have no idea what stuff is worth and think they are sitting on a gold mine...
