I have a set of pallet forks that I kept off of my old skid loader in the hopes of modifying them to fit the front of my Kubota LA402 loader. I have been doing some reading on the Tach-All stuff... which is nice, but I can't hardly justify the cost for something I am going to use maybe twice per year. I am fine with just welding some brackets onto the pallet forks and taking the pins out to remove the bucket and attach the forks.

My question then is this... are the brackets on the back of the LA402 bucket (the ones that attach the bucket to the loader arms) available anywhere for purchase or am I going to have to make my own? I am a machinist so it's not a big deal to fab something, but it would be easier to just buy a set if the price isn't too bad.

Thanks in advance.

I think you will have to make your own (I did to adapt my Woods pallet forks to my LA402) You could download the parts manual for the LA402 from tractorsmart.com and check though ....

you mean their "Tach-All" bracket as like this:ATI Corporation - Tach-All(tm) Quick Attach ?

If so, do you mind saying what kind of pricing it entails, and does it include corresponding parts that need welding onto existing tools such as an OEM bucket, the pallet forks mentioned, or other things (snowblower?).

In other words, tell us more!

I think that is what he is talking about... I have priced them at around $800. For that price you get the plate that pins on the tractor that hooks to basically any skid loader attachment... plus the brackets to turn your existing bucket into a quick attach. It's a nice setup... just a little out of my price range.

cheers

No it's the pin on setup.. about 250.00,, ATI Corporation - Pin-type Quick Attach Images

My bad... didn't see those. Those look like a quick attach for brand specific loader attachments. Nice idea, but of course it doesn't allow the interchangeability between skid loader attachments like the tach-all. And... I don't see the LA402 kubota loader listed in catalog. Thanks for the input.

I've got everything measured up to make a set of brackets for my pallet forks so they fit the pins on my LA402 loader frame. I doubt I will ever own any additional attachments, so this should work fine. Should be a pretty simple fabrication.

Thanks Hr3, I didn't see that setup in the site either.

I was attracted to the idea of being able to use many skidsteer attachments. A lot of the attraction has to do with the selection of things that my local Kubota dealer has in his rental dept. Front flail mower, snow blower, and hydraulic adjustable blades almost as beefy as bulldozer blades (though my little loader might not be able to lift that one).

It's probably just pipe dream material anyway - by the time I'd see the need to rent a snow blower up here I wouldn't be able to get out my driveway to go rent it. LOL!

But I've seen that Tach-All thing and was curious about the pricing (thanks Duaner) and didn't want to call and get snared into a sales pitch if it's more than I'd want to spend..

I've got the ATI Tach all set up on my B3030 and love it. Not sure of the pricing as I had the dealer install it as part of my purchase price. I can say that I usually park the tractor without the bucket or forks on it as I use them both equally as much. If I had to remove the pins to change all the time I wouldn't use the forks as much as I do. The only thing I'm missing is a linear actuator to open and close the locking pins.

I think this is what you're looking for, this is a model 20 woods forks (no longer made) but look for MODEL 20A PALLET FORK ASSEMBLY (the next model) you can find parts drawings to help with your design. I bought pins and sleeves at TSC to mount on my cub yanmar.
