Beaver fever's no joke. Don't swim where they defecate, and for goodness sake don't drink the pond water.

Here are some pics of the beaver meadow. Five years ago, this was all flooded with 2'-3' of water. In the third pic from the left, the new beaver pool is beyond the dead trees in the center and to the right, behind the dying spruce.

The grasses are wetland types and you can see a few cattails, but it is fairly dry and level over all. Beavers do dig out small channels for easy swimming and transporting limbs if they have to.

Pics of the rebuilt dam and the trees branches I put in small pool below the dam to see if they eat or take them. The saplings with red-orange leaves are dying from being flooded. The water in front of the dam is about 5' deep.

Thank you. There is plenty of room around this area for more residents. The problem is making a decent living. I couldn't live here if I were not retired.
