I also love my 3320, its almost 3 years old and has 830+ hours. 200 of the hours are the Backhoe 447, its been very handy for me and my son. I also have the 5' king kutter and a very old but nice 7' rear blade (no name on it but very strong). Added femco weather break last year, hope to add t&t this winter season. :licking:

Lorenz 7310 from Snowblowers - Catalog - Ludens Implement

I bought a 7 foot Lorenz snowblower for my 3320 and have used it enough now to give a proper review. I hadn't seen a review for a wider model Lorenz on a 3320 so I thought I would share my experience.

Bottom line, it is amazing.

I wondered if my 3320 would have the hp to run a 7 foot snowblower. According to the Lorenz website (lorenzmfg.com) the fan is what takes most of the hp, not the width of the augers. They are right. If I didn't have hydrostat it wouldn't be near as handy but with the stat I can go as slow as I need to and the RPM's don't drop. And normally, in deep heavy snow the tractor doesn't bog down, but I may need to slow down because the augers can't keep up with my speed. It is not a problem, I just go a little slower. I wanted the widest blower as possible and I'm glad I got the 7 footer. The prices for narrower blowers aren't much cheaper. When on a slippery side hill, the front end of the tractor can slide downhill a bit and the front tire get's close to hitting the wall of unblown snow. If the blower was narrower it just wouldn't work as well in this situation, plus, everything would take longer with less width.

It will throw snow (or gravel/dirt/twigs) into and over the 30 foot cedars lining my driveway. The "augers" have paddles that will chew up the hardest packed, or moved, thawed and frozen piles of snow that you can imagine. I have talked to guys up here in SD who have tractor mounted snowblowers with standard augers and if they don't get the snow within 24 hours it gets hard on them and their augers can't really bust into the drifts to get it thrown thru the fan. I blew a 100 yard path thru drifts up to 5 feet tall and it was snow that had not been touched all winter. (I needed a firing lane to sight in a rifle) The Lorenz handled it with ease and these were drifts that were so hard you could drive a 4 wheeler over them.

Clearing my driveway, a job that used to take me 2 or 3 hours with a 150hp loader tractor now takes 20 minutes with my 33hp Deere.

I wondered if the 3320 would have enough weight and strength in the 3 point to lift the snowblower. It is heavy at 900lbs and hangs a ways off the lift arms but the 3320 3 point has plenty of power to raise and lower it. Doesn't even hesitate. The 300cx loader up front probably helps counterbalance the weight. When raised up all the way the guard on the pto shaft hits the frame around the pto but I just set my stop at the top of the rockshaft lever range to prevent any problems. PTO shouldn't be running at that severe angle anyway.

On a side note, I am very glad that I have the R1 ag tires for snow. When driving thru deep snow even they run out of traction sometimes even with all 4 tires spinning.

Bottom line is that the Lorenz 7310 works extremely well on a Deere 3320. I would buy both of them again in a heartbeat.

Thank you very much for the review of your 3320 and Lorenz snow blower.

We are buying a house on 40 acres and will have around a 1/2 mile of gravel road to clear (1/4 mile driveway, 1/4 mile township road). We are looking at the 3x20 series and were wondering if they could handle a North Dakota winter. Your review helps answer a lot of our questions.

Mine was one of the first cab models sold too, never would tell people what I paid for it, but never looked back. I use mine for everything around the place. And with the texas weather we've been having, not much to use it or anything else for outside. With all the avaliable hookups, only way to go. (For a little more you can go first class.)

One point, all 4 tires never spin. These are hypoid gear boxes and the individual wheel with the least resistance spins (one in the front and one in the back), just like your 4WD family car without a limited slip differential. If you lock the rear differential 3 tires will spin, both rear tires and the front tire with the least resistance.

i beg to differ.

bury your tractor in deep snow, step on the locker lever for the rear axle and see what happens. maybe it is because the traction the front tires are getting in deep snow is basically equal up front. maybe it is because i am not going wide open on the throttle so as not do dig down and get high centered.

put a car or 4x4 pickup on a slick road and yea, 1 tire looses traction almost immediately and will spin while the others refuse to turn at all (without some coaxing with the brake pedal that is)

Yes, I said that. Lock the rear differential and 3 tires spin. The hypoid front differential is not lockable and therefore only the front tire with the least resistance spins.

I have the R1's turned outside on my 3320 cab. Initially they were not turned out but set to the widest they could be without doing that - on my hilly land it felt very dicey at times. Once I turned the wheels out (no small feat when done alone and with filled tires) it was like night and day, I am now able to maneuver in places I wouldn't go before, and in general the 'tippiness' is gone.

Even with the wheels turned out the tractor is still nimble and able to squueze through tight spaces.

Dave for what its worth- I too am a very satisfied 3320 owner. Bought mine new in 05 and I have 855 hours. 300cx, loaded turfs, 550 lb. concrete weight block and chains in the winter. I plow a 700 ft. gravel drive with an old 6'meyers power angler- I made a quick change bracket using the Deere hooks and lower bullets that are availab le for about 40 bucks.

No doubt your 3320 will handle the drive you describe- its just going to take a bit of time.- point of reference we had about 110" of snow here in Worcester County Mass last winter. Oh I DON"T have a cab-depend on my Carhart coveralls-may spring for a Curtis cab this fall.

After reading this I sure hope you found the extra funds and got the 3320, seems like to me it's an investment in our future.

crap....why did you post this? I am looking at the 2520 and 3032 to help me with landscaping my new home on 2 acres....hardly justifiable for even the smaller tractors. My dealer let me drive the 3320 because...the 2520 doesnt have the lift capacity I think I need and the 3032 doesnt have the quick detach loader. So he says "try the 3320 " it has all the features you want......dang now I really want the 3320, but cant really justify it.....dang....dang....dang. I need more land.....
