So the wife walked into my shop the other day and asked why it always smells like gas or diesel, and I, without even looking up waved my arm toward the wall and said that I had one of those automatic spritzing a air freshners, and for shops you could get gas or diesel scent. I think I had her going for a second.. but I must have looked up smiling or soemthing and she hit me with the newspaper and walked out...

The fact she can smell the difference between gas and deisel means, in my book, she is a winner.:laughing:

Soundguy......my grand daughter always tells me - " Papa , I just love the smell of your shop " LOL...it smells like Diesel, oil and gasoline with some WD-40 & who knows what else mixed in....but I have to say..I still remember the smell of my grandfathers shop...to this day I can smell it and it brings back grand memories...so I hope she always remembers the smell of mine...Just think...if you go before your Mrs. she will always remember you whenever she smells diesel or gas...LOL

I think she's familiar with the smeels as she's accidentally washed some of my work clothes before.. and complained heavilly about it...

yep.. nothing quite like a lil scent of diesel or kerosene in the air to make it feel like home.

The wifey says that when I get into the house from working on the tractor, the smell reminds her of her grandfather. He farmed all of his life.

And my wife thinks I'm the only one with clothes that has these smells She says it smells up the entire house. I tell her I don't notice any odd odors
