I think you meant on the left side of the tractor and just used the common expression as it relates to cars/trucks in the USA.

Hi Dave / all - New to the forum but having the same serial no dilemma on the New Holland TC33D. Try as I may (and I have) I cannot find the serial on this tractor. No plate riveted anywhere and no sign of one having been removed. Can't seem to find it on the bell housing either (rear of tractor on the drivers side I'm assuming?). Could someone share a pic of where I'm missing it or a good description of where it's surely right under my nose? Thanks much to all in advance! - Lj :confused2:

First, Americana, if you position yourself in front of the driver's left rear wheel and look rearward, there should be a plate on the left of you mounted on the transmission (I hope the pic helps). The plate has the tractor number, engine number, model and unit numbers.
Second, I can't seem to make sense of the numbers. I've read that the SN should be either 9 or 13 digits. Mine is 7.

Could someone please help me with deciphering the numbers?
