Yanmar 336D / YFL-1500
First off, hello all. Looks like we have a group of well educated and experienced individuals here! My name is Don and I have finally decided (not by choice, but by need) that I need to graduate to a large size unit.

With all that being said, I am blessed enough to have my own business running that is doing well. Over the past few months we have had a few truck(freight) deliveries that require moving pallets. Most would be under 800#.

I have a long gravel drive, no place for a 48 or 55ft trailer to manuver, so park it on the street and get the 'loader' to move it up to the shop area.

A friend with an L series Kubota and dedicated forks has helped me a few times, but I need to bite the bullet.

Grounds maintenance is also a challenge. I have UPS/FedEx and postal all coming and going every work day, plus the freight deliveries. I live in the great lakes part of the country where we experience that phoenomen called "lake effect snow". I also have about 2 acres of brush/grass to keep up on.

Now that you all have the background, I found a Yanmar 336D with lots of extras in my price range.

Guy says if I show up with 8K cash, he'll deliver it 10 miles to my place (he's formally asking 9K). Looks to be in fair condition (naturally, no deal will be made until I thouroughly check this thing over / test run it), but I wanted to get all your feedback on the setup........ Good, bad or ugly, let me have it.

what's your concensus? Photo's below. 3100 hours

Welcome to the forum! That is probably a decent deal on a great tractor my 3810D is the sister to it and the 3110D is also. They are very sturdy and well engineered and super simple to work on. That one has most everything you would need in one package thats the big plus here. You will love the powershift trany.

Parts are not hard to find either. His HP rating on it is not right though I dont know for sure but I believe its quite a bit higher than he has specd but someone else will know more than me. My tractor is turbocharged and is 45 engine hp and 38pto I am thinking that one is 33 hp pto 38+ hp engine. If you get it I would really like to see how they put the rear remotes in the system pics etc.

I believe the ym336 is 33 engine horsepower and about 26.9 pto horsepower. If the tractor is in good condition I think that is a good price , especially considering all the equipment.

THANK YOU CAR DOC for the comment(s). I hope to get more input here also.

I think you are correct on the engine, I seem to recall reading somewhere about 33hp on the engine also. I need a set of "bolt on" skid forks to make this guy work for me and would really prefer a belly mower, but I don't know/think that is an option.

Again - THANK YOU for sharing your wisdom. If I grab it on monday, I'll get you all the photos you need. :)

I also have the sister/brother to that tractor. If everything checks out to be in good working cond., with all the equip. that would be a good price.I'm intrested in knowing where the HYD return line from the loader ties into the sump

Thanks again guys.... Kenmac, When I check it out, I'll let you know what I find.

Wouldn't you believe that I found a JD 4120 will all the attachments AND a tandem trailer for 3K less than the Yanmar. I think at that price, it's either a mis-print, or GONE. If I get a reply back that it's still available, I'm jumping on that. Loader, BH, belly mower, box, blade, finish mower and a 2006 with 400 hrs. It's got to be a mis print.

Best,
Don

Or something real bad is wrong with it

The whole 2006 John Deere is a scam in the TN area. I see them every few days on craigslist. Just use your "too good to be true" judgement and you'll see it's obvious. The figure sounds right, too. They are always around $6000. I wouldn't let that Yanmar sit there too long. Just selling off the unused attachments can regain you some decent money.

I agree guys. Said the JD was sold, but now has a Kubota BX35 with 78 hours and all the attachments for $5400 Delivered. Too good to be true. Suposively in ND some where.

I have an appt to see the Yan and check it out thouroughly tomorrow. I need the strength of the FEL, but would love a belly mower and not have to deal with a deck hanging off the back. :)

I have a 336 and ove it. It is 33 engine HP. Front end loader is the same as pictured. Mine has ROP and a cab which I orginally didn,t like but after a winter snow blowing wouldn;t be without. Sounds like areally good price. Any idea of the year (usually stamped on the tire rims) and how many hours.
