Just installed the spacers on the rear wheels of the 3720. I put the other two spacers (they come 4 in a set for skid steer) on my 4320 open station to widen it also. BTW, my wife helped me remove/install the wheels (filled with Rim Guard) on both tractors. It's not really that difficult if you jack one side up at a time to just where the wheel is still resting on the floor and the loosened studs are centered in the holes and you can wiggle the wheel back and forth to remove and roll it forward to rest while installing the spacers. Reverse procedure to reinstall the wheel.

The A/C and heating on my 3720 cab was anemic when new and I found that the rear roof seal was damaged probably when the dealer installed the radio but I'm not sure. JD warranty covered replacing the roof seal about a year after taking delivery --- made a huge difference in heating and A/C operation. If the sliver you found is not foam then I doubt it is seal material. You can turn on the heat or A/C on max blower setting and see if a piece of tissue is sucked in anywhere other than the intake air filter which is located on the rear middle of the roof.

The sliver I got was like a soft stretchy spongey kind of rubber (foam?) is that maybe just like an outer weather seal it looked like it went around the inside lip of the roof you can only see at the rear of the tractor if you look up between the cracks. I could see a corner of it sticking out a little and crunched down buy the roof. From pictures I have seen here I think it was but hope you are rite and maybe it is just an outer weather strip.

3720 POWER STEERING QUESTION????????

ok I noticed this today on the steering wheel it says John Deere. You can be driving straight and the John Deere on the wheel is on the top spoke of the wheel (if you will) then when I turn left or right and put the machine into a straight run returning the wheel to where the tractor is sent into a deadstraight path I notice the John Deere letters are on the top are now on the left or the right or the bottom? then after more turns and then holding straight it will go back to the center position for awhile- strange?

That's normal with hydrostatic steering.

When I pulled the top off my cab to do a radio swap the seal was screwed up also. Sounds like most of them are! Enjoy the new ride DP!

Used the new machine for the first job today overseeding at my condo contract moved 39 yards of dirt and spread it on some hilly ground. I have filled the ballast box with cement and flipped the tires and I was surprised. I felt pretty safe in the cab. I have ordered the 6" wheel extensions from unverferth and the full set of wheel weights from JD, now I am not even sure I need them but there coming now. The wheel wieghts are expensive about 320 lbs cost just under $800.00 for 3 weights per side with the hardware...ouch!

Thanks Glen the dealer told me the radio just pulls out now and that you don't have to pull the top anymore? not sure if I will every worry about it unless there is some big air leaks.

Any of you other 3000 series tractor owners notice the power steering is a little squeeky when you turn the wheel? I am just getting used to my new 3720 but I find the squeeky sound of the steering to be a little annoying is there something I can check or adjust?

A. The dealer response may be a little less than accurate. The OE radio in my 2011 3720 was defective. I know the ceiling panel was removed to repair/replace it, because they did a sloppy job of reinstalling the heat/air control panel on the opposite side. Now I've got a working radio and air, but no heat.

B. Squeaky steering bothered me from day one. First they tried grease, it worked until about 5 minutes after the service tech left. I gave them the problem to work on again, but this time suggested that they install one of those big white nylon washers under the steering wheel nut. Apparently that's what they did, because it's not squeaking any more.

No squeak in mine. Might want to do a search to see if others have seen this.
