Ballast box.

Did you guys just fill your ballast box with cement or bags of sand? In the winter I like to throw a couple of bags of salt in my box on the kubota but I am thinking of filling the Deere one with cement?

Right now my BB is filled with sand. Like you I might do the cement thing. I guess you gan get 100 lbs more weight w/cement, or so I've read.

DP, any chance we can see some photos of your tire flip?

I will see what I can do , my friend Todd is a diesel tec for Fords and he has his own shop in the country. I thought he would be a good person to ask for help to do the job safely. I will bring a camera.

Oh, they're heavy OK...no disagreement there. This is a two man job and, if the wheel/tires gets away from you, let it fall!!

My rears are 41-14-20 turfs. They appear to be bigger then the turfs on DP Property's 3720.

Takes two men and a boy and you hope the boy survives. Handling tractor tires is scary and dangerous. Here are my grandchildren ready to help change tires.

Oh my lord that is a great picture :D, my tires are not going to be quite that scary. When I picked up my jd3720 a brandnew s series JD combine came in for a farm show and a flatbed 18 wheeler came in behind it with just the tires. Those things were huge the guys said they had 12 hours labour to set up the machine for the farmshow this weekend.
You can see the new style s-series in the background notice how low the bed of the truck is to the ground.

That's actually a lowboy trailer. The front (fifth wheel) end of those types of trailers disconnect so the load can drive or be towed off the trailer. I see them around here on occasion, mostly hauling large equipment such as bulldozers.
In DP Property's pic, the front has been disconnected and the trailer is resting on the pavement.

Since Rockgod asked about before and after pics, here's a couple of my 4400. Those are 41-14-20 turf tires. Note how close the sidewall is to the fender in the first pic.
BTW, as I'd written earlier, I got an increase of about 2.5" per side with my wheels. Before you go through the hassle of reversing or side to side swapping of wheels, measure the hub to rim offset to make sure it's worthwhile.

OK the job is done first thing this morning. When the machine was picked up from the dealer there was marker lines on the tire bolts. When we flipped the first tire we noticed they had little dabs of marker on the rim. This indicated that they at one time had that tire on and flipped before. This makes no sense why would John Deere put them on the safer way then remove them and put them back on the narrow way? The tec made a carefull inspection of the wheel hub and the rim he wanted to make sure this could be done without causing any damage to anything. He did notice on the rim when they come narrow the lip faces the outside of the rim and away from the the hub, once the tire is flipped the lip faces outside and around the hub nicely. (does this not make more sense this way)
I was helping him so there was not a chance to take a lot of pictures but I got a couple- first picture before and after. It was well worth it a big difference in feeling when I drove the tractor back home.

Hey Roy the truck had just pulled in it was still attached, but I think he may have still lowered it somehow? (if was not attached the truck was still looking like it was attached)

Do you install the wheel spacers on all 4 wheels or just the rear wheels?
I also notice a small sliver of the cab roof seal sticking down from the top right outer corner of the roof. I touched it lightly and it ripped off as a little sliver. I sure hope that seal thing does not become an issue? as far as I know the factory installed the radio.
Just installed the spacers on the rear wheels of the 3720. I put the other two spacers (they come 4 in a set for skid steer) on my 4320 open station to widen it also. BTW, my wife helped me remove/install the wheels (filled with Rim Guard) on both tractors. It's not really that difficult if you jack one side up at a time to just where the wheel is still resting on the floor and the loosened studs are centered in the holes and you can wiggle the wheel back and forth to remove and roll it forward to rest while installing the spacers. Reverse procedure to reinstall the wheel.

The A/C and heating on my 3720 cab was anemic when new and I found that the rear roof seal was damaged probably when the dealer installed the radio but I'm not sure. JD warranty covered replacing the roof seal about a year after taking delivery --- made a huge difference in heating and A/C operation. If the sliver you found is not foam then I doubt it is seal material. You can turn on the heat or A/C on max blower setting and see if a piece of tissue is sucked in anywhere other than the intake air filter which is located on the rear middle of the roof.

Yep, there's pneumatic or hydraulic cylinders that lower and raise the detachable part of the trailer.
If you'd have stuck around, you'd have seen the tractor (as in tractor trailer) pull away with the front section of the trailer.

Since you had wrote about marks on the wheel bolts in your previous post, torque striping (the correct terminology) is a good thing to do. A quick visual can tell you if a bolt has loosened.
